So, Syndicate.
An old school Bullfrog classic.
I played this to death on my old trusty 486 back in the day. I remember the intro fondly, I had never seen anything like it back then...

It was a top down game, you controlled a team of four cyborgs, armed to the teeth. Goal was essentially to conquer the world.

I have vivid memories about the persuadertron, it was so cool to just persuade a buttload of people, jam them into a tiny little car, and then explode it, just to watch an army of burning people run to their deaths.... Ah, back when we were young.
Anyway, I'm not going into the sequel (Syndicate Wars), since I hardly played it. Unfortunately my PC at the time couldn't handle it very well, with it's destruction engine.
Aaaaanyway, I just
read that Starbreeze has deposited the Syndicate name up to three times. Granted, the source is a little (or, like, a LOT) vague, but there have been years of rumors concerning Syndicate and I think if anyone can pull it off, Starbreeze can. As long as they don't make it an FPS or TPS, but just for the love of God keep the isometric view. In fact, just remake the first game or something and I'll be happy...

High hopes for this. I still play this weekly on ye' olde DosBox.
