Slight knee soreness

I recently started feeling some soreness in my knee. On a scale from 0-10 it's from about around a 1 or 2. I only feel it around the moment that my knee is absorbing the impact of a step.

If I'm looking down at my right knee with my leg extended, I feel on the left and closer to the top of the knee. About half an inch away from the knee cap.

For the past 5-6 months I've been running regularly and and hiking with a 35-45lb ruck sack. Since I started feeling this I stopped both activities and just ride a stationary bike for cardio.

I'm guessing it's from all of the high impact shit I've been doing. (which I unfortunately can't stop doing)

Last week I was especially tough on my legs running up and down steep hills and changing speed abruptly while doing sprint intervals.

Anyone felt anything like this? Any advice?
