Need help getting my second Let's Play set up

All right, so I've been trying to get my new LP going for literally months now. The problems of needing time and missing a mic/headset are over. I got one of these guys a couple months ago. I also updated my computer to Windows 7. The recording software I'm using is HyperCam 2.

The biggest problem is that my Stereo Mix just doesn't work at all. It's feeding a constant stream of extremely loud noise instead of anything that's actually being put through my speakers. The second problem is that the mic has an ever-so-slight delay to it, which makes it impossible to monitor myself while recording. I would check to see if I could just ignore it and deal with the recorded sound by testing it if I could just get the damn stereo mix to work.

The final problem is that HyCam seems to have difficulties capturing video from just this one game. It runs in Flash and I still need to try it in windowed mode (uuugghhh) but that's not the biggest problem. If I can get sound recording, I'll mess around with the video until I have something workable.

If you need more information, just tell me what you need to know. Any help is appreciated.

Quick update, I'm checking to see if older drivers will fix the stereo mix option. Apparently the Vista_Win7_R237 drivers are the ones to use for now?
