    That's not a goal, it was on the line according to the CBC video review camera that they showed.

    What they showed here looked pretty clearly to be white between the puck and the line, but Toronto agrees with you.

    Bad call, they had a frame where the puck was clearly over the line as it bounced off the goalie's pads.

    One of the CBC color guys had it right early in the game: Pens seem to have thought it was a 7:30 start.

    CBC has failed me then. They showed a closeup but with it still on the line (barely). Wish I got to see the other camera angle.

    I was on CBC too, which is the mystifying thing to me. The super zoomed in frame by frame shot where they spot shadowed the puck looked pretty conclusive.

    Also: dumb penalty by Ottawa.

    My guess is the Pens will dominate the 2nd and 3rd, hopefully Ottowa can hang on

    While the no goal is true to the letter of the law, it seems against the spirit.

    I suppose that situation doesn't happen enough to be worth changing the rule.

    Ehhh, I'm not sure. It should definitely being a penalty (delay of game, likely), but I don't think it warrants a penalty shot.

    I think it already is if you do it yourself and don't check a guy into the net. Burtletoy knows the rules better, maybe he can clarify when he gets home from the Royals game.
