[ModNation Racers] Wait? People are still playing this? Ummm...Vita version pending? Yay?
Nice Deadmau5, Daft. I was wondering when someone would make one (being too lazy to do so myself). I searched for one a few times the first week the game was out and there just weren't any. Good job!
I've got an extra Air Raid code if someone can trade for one of the other preorder characters. If nobody can, I'll just put it out there to the first one to ask.

US only mind you. Codes are region locked. That said, I think everyone got Air Raid sadly. It wasn't like they were being stingy about it.
So guys, I've got my jungle track done. What should I name it? It's currently saved as "Jungle Fever" although I like the idea of "Rumble In The Jungle".

My current thoughts on Modnation is it's a great game. A flawed great game, but something amazing is in there. I hope that future patches/expansions and with hope sequals hammer the issues out.
Finally started making my first track. Involves a track tunnelling through a cliffside that opens into a cove, with the main feature being a long, large bridge packed with obstacles. There's also a route that bypasses the bridge in favour of a series of jumps onto small sections of land, the first jump requiring a manual jump (with three jump signposts on either side leading up to it), with the next two using boost ramps. Planning on calling it "Clash On The Big Bridge"*, assuming it'll fit.
*Gilgamesh not included.

Well I hope you downloaded and rated it. Most of the other Deadmau5 mods took people like 5 minutes and have no character. They're all based off the same idea and no one tries anything new or original. I can't wait to show everyone my Gordon Freeman.

Got this today, working through career.
Add me for anything, Aphorik.
Let us know when you throw your controller through the tv. Career gets pretty bad pretty quickly for cheating ai.
Which was why I only did about 3 races a day (completing the challenges first, then mopping up tokens when position wasn't needed), because some of those later ones made me want to hunt down the programmers and sideswipe them with a tank.

I haven't finished career mode yet, and I also haven't raced it in probably 3 or 4 days. I'm still stuck on Sinkhole. Best I've placed is 2nd. Technically I could move on to the next race, but why bother when it only will get worse.
Thanks, although I now find myself in a bit of a quandary; I have a Mod that I've literally just made, but I... er... kinda have a problem with coming up with a name for it...

I bought the Vamp/Casket combo pack and made a kart that I called "Battle Casket" and decorated it up with spikes, sawblades, bullet holes, and other battle damage. Feel free to look it up if you want. I'm guessing you gotta own the dlc to be able to download it.

I don't think so. Just to use the pieces to build your own stuff, I think.

I dunno. I mean, more pieces and options is never a bad thing. But I feel like we're pretty good in the mod and kart department. What's not so great is the track department.
We need all sorts of exotic locations to work with, which means United Front needs to release some theme-packs with tons of new props, terrain, and environment. Things like lava, ice/snow, to the even more fantastical and imaginary like maybe tracks on Mars, or the moon, or anything like that.
Yeah, but I would imagine that full track packs probably take a LOT longer to put together than a mod & kart. I'm not saying that we won't see them eventually, but I'm guessing they'll be more infrequent than the mod packs.
And there's PLENTY more mod parts I want - so keep the mod packs comin'!

Anyone else feel some of the supplied tracks are poorly done?
I don't mean the look of them, they look very pretty. I mean playtesting wise, sometimes it just feels as though little to no playtesting has been done by a dedicated playtesting team. Like the person who made the tracks played it with fellow developers and never had it critiqued by a dedicated tester.
Mind you, with the difficulty of the career mode, the rubberbanding ai etc I suspect in general little playtesting was done for the entire game.

I'm afraid I agree.
I love the mod and kart creation tools. I love the track creation tools.
I hate the gameplay elements. The AI is too cheap and the track layout is haphazard in some of the later tracks. I still can't beat Drillbit. He doesn't boost, he doesn't drift, he just gains points at a +100 rate to you. The only way to beat him is to cheat it seems, and it's still haphazard if you can pull it off.

Looks like its a coffin car and a vampire mod item set. Probably will include the cape, pointy ears, and the haircut.
Along with:
Seaside Stroll
And lastly the Stunt Car Racer inspired; Stunt Cart Racer - Action (I created multiple versions of this track, that's the only one online)

Think the ears are already in (Legendary, I believe). I can see there being a horde of Count von Count's being made after this comes out.
By which I mean, more than usual.
Personally I plan on making Eddie Munster... or Grandpa.

Oh, those ears are going to lead to SOOOOOO many Spock mods. :P
OTOH, the coffin kart looks pretty awesome - it's worth downloading just for that. And the cape - capes rock.
