The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So, I've been watching Youtube and old PAX DVDs, as well as PA TV and the new ad that is running for the '09 DVD, and I now cannot separate Anamanaguchi's Helix Nebula from PAX 2009 as its unofficial Theme Song.
I know in general we have MC Frontalot's PA Theme, but I want to know if there is anything from PAX East or past PAXs that you would regard as a theme song?
I would say the last third of Paul and Storm's Frogger! The Frogger Musical has my vote for East.
Now that you have got my back
I see a new plan of attack
And suddenly the path is clear
The way to get to there from here
From the turtle to croc to stump
Getting closer with every jump
We reach the end somehow
Then I look in your eyes
And now I’m home… (x8)

I was talking about individual PAXs.
Oh shit, I fail... Thats what I get for skimming I guess.
Edit: This song was coined as a song supported by the Penny Arcade guys as they put it in the PAX 2009 DVD trailer
Upgrade by Anamanaguchi was used in the first PA:TV for defining PAX, also a good one!

I don't think any song needs to be dubbed the official PAX song or anything, but I second the thought that I cannot separate Helix Nebula from the PAX 2009 DVD trailer, as I watched that youtube clip a lot (whenever anyone asked me what the hell PAX was I showed them that video).
I am just grateful for PAX having given me all these new artists to listen to. I hadn't listened to any of these guys before, but I checked them all out about 2 months beforehand, and fell in love with the music of Anamanaguchi, JoCo, and MC Frontalot. That make the concerts all the more awesome.
For some reason, Mr. Fancypants pops into my head when I think of PAX East. There is no reasoning for this occurrence.
Perhaps it was the freaking awesome performance of that song at PAX East?
I felt that the East Mr Fancypants paled in comparison to the Prime 09 Mr. Fancypants. In 09, Mr. Fancypants was his 3rd and final encore song and went on for about 8 minutes, though with fewer pickup lols from the music device (and subsequently from Paul and Storm).

I don't remember when it was, but in Prime 09 his third encore song was First of May. That I remember very clearly.
Also, I don't think we need another song other than Frontalot's PA Theme. Unless it's a "Best Performance of PAX XX" sort of thing. Then we can have that thread and argue about it there. :P

So the unofficial theme song for any PAX is the most memorabel song from that location? If that's the case, I think that the PAX Prime theme would be the "Wil Wheaton" rewrite of My Monkey.

MC Frontalot is the man behind it, with the aptly titled "Penny Arcade Theme"

They can call it PAXaid, record it and then sell it online donating the money to charity.

I don't know about making it the theme but I always love this song when they play it. It's the one that sticks in my head for days after the concert.
Then it's Party in the USK, hands down.
You'll need to make him gleeful, or he's make you his mare...
I think I feel a song coming on . . .
So true.
