So... I love my tea HOT :P. Ehh yeah I like to drink some tea every now and then. I was wondering, any other tea lovers?
Just drank some Revolution tea, they got some nice flavours!

I am not sure if this will stay in H/A, but I approve of tea threads.

    My tea preferences:

    1. Loose leaf.
    2. Steeped very strong, but not burnt or bitter.
    3. Sugar first, then milk.

    Green tea.

With a few drops of Lemon.

    Sweetened with honey.

    Great for a sore throat.

here's some advice: drink asian tea. Much lighter flavor, meaning you can enjoy the tea itself rather than the sugar/milk/lemon :D

The last thread turned me onto creamed earl grey, but I'm finding it far too sweet even black, which is how I normally drink my tea. I usually steep for around 4 minutes, but have experimented with times as short as 2. Has anyone else had any better luck with shorter steep times, or am I just too sensitive to the inherent sweetness of the tea?

I also like my tea hot, and with no flavor aids.

I have some Twinings green tea in my kitchen.

I got kind of scared of Early Grey, because I've heard it can perma-stain your teeth if you drink it too dark frequently. I switched to Green Tea which is definitely a 180 from Earl Grey, but still good.

I like Red Rose and Orange Pekoe tea. It's gotta have milk and something to sweeten it, though, or it just isn't the same. It can be sweet or not, but if there's no milk, it just doesn't seem right. I'm generally impatient about waiting for it to cool, since I like to drink, rather than sip slowly. I tend to put at least 1 part milk to 3 parts tea so it's cool enough to drink without burning my mouth right away.

Twinings green tea is also pretty good, sweetened with honey or sugar, doesn't really matter either way. I have to be patient about it, though; it doesn't seem right with milk. :P

I remember reading that a few days ago and was worried until I saw this:
The researchers tested the effects of tea in 16 humans and on rat tissue.

Not exactly an exhaustive study. Besides, with tea being the new "super" drink over the last few years, quick studies like this are inevitable. I have no doubt believing that milk probably does remove some of the health benefits of tea, but I'm not about to stop drinking my tea with milk because of a quick study with 16 people.

That being said, although I usually drink black tea, I've recently discovered white tea and have been drinking it a lot more. It's basically just a softer, less bitter green tea which I really like.

I enjoy Lipton Green Tea. I imagine it's just colored sugar water, but gosh darn is it tasty.

If you're green tea lover check this out at your local supermarket. Has all the above plus ginseng!

I drink Orange Pekoe with a little bit of sugar every morning. It's a little pick me up but it doesn't get me wired like Coffee would.

I also like Strawberry or Strawberry Green Tea. Peppermint is good too.

    Adding sugar to tea? Heathens!

I usually drink Twinings green tea with jasmine. If I drink plain green tea, Clipper's is cheaper and comes in unbleached tea bags.

Just in case anyone is unsure, you don't add milk to green tea

Black British tea I'm not really fussy on. I don't drink it unless I'm offered a cup by a friend or at a work function. I have it weak with a bit of milk, but the milk goes in first.

I'll also use a teapot where possible.

    Earl Grey is nice, too.

To give you an idea what I like, it actually has the leaves in the little baggies.
The Bombay Chai Tea is soo goood! It has cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. It's a black tea :>

If I were a rich man I would drink only the Glass Bottled Teas offered by The Republic of Tea. Unfortunately, I have to settle for their unbleached tea bags and loose leaf teas. I've had many of their pure and blended teas, but I like their red and white teas especially.

I drink tea for one reason, and one reason only: it tastes good. I couldn't care less if putting milk in my tea interferes with any supposed "health benefits" I would otherwise be deriving from it. I would line my cup with rat shit and asbestos if it made it taste better.

I put sugar and milk in my tea for the same reason I drink my coffee black: to my palate, that is the way it tastes best. Period.

I like it for its taste, anyway. I'm not too concerned about health benefits.

My daily morning caffeine hit is Tetley's Orange Pekoe. Loose tea is usually better, though I got a tin of Twinnings loose tea for christmas and the bits of tea are so small they go through the mesh on my tea-ball. :v:

I prefer honey to sugar in my tea. Green Tea is great with honey, but for the love of god, don't put milk in it, it will taste like crap.

I just picked up a box of Stash's Double Spiced Chai, and its surprisingly good, since I haven't really been a fan of Stash in the past.
