Burning Crusade Collector's Ed w/no preorder?

OK, so I bought WoW: Burning Crusade Collector's Edition at Best Buy moments ago. It's 7:08PM EDT. WTF?! I was told by all the major gaming blogs and news sites that it was preorder ONLY, preorders were long sold out, and as far as I know, Best Buy never did preorders for anyway (obviously, they would receive none of the Collector's Edition copies). Therefore, they convinced me that it wasn't worth trying and thereby nearly caused me to miss my opportunity.
This is not the first time I've heard such misinformation. Instead of walking out with the very last copy and nearly missing it, I would have gone in this morning had I not been misinformed. Gaming journalism sucks.

I was just at EB and they had stacks of them. They also had a REALLLLLY cute girl working there who I hadn't seen before.
If they have stacks of the Collector's Edition, then they are reserved for preorderers.

I asked when Rogue Galaxy was coming out and she went, "Later this month, it's the only decent RPG I can think of coming out for a bit. You want to pre-order it?".
And of course, so I could make more conversation, I did.
I'll find out next time I see her there. Slow and steady wins the race. She did just move here in October from Boston so probably not. I doubt she's been taken by any one of the horde of mouthbreathers I see in that store when I walk by...

Pretty sure she does since she commented on Rogue Galaxy like she did. I have no problems with women, it's finding one that plays video games and is fairly attractive, that's the problem.

Hey! Guess what I ate today? You'll never believe it. I stopped at Sonic and got an extra long coney dog with cheese. It doesn't say so, but it comes with chili too. That bitch tried to sell me my combo with fries but I put her in her place and told her "no." Only tot's for my combo. "Tots" is short for "'tater tots," which is also short for "potatoe tots." Don't ask me what "tots" means.
That's not all though. After that, she asked me what kind of soda I wanted. That's right... SODA! At SONIC. Only retards and their moms order soda at Sonic. I got a delicious Raspberry Bannana smoothie but the hard seeds kept getting stuck in my teeth. I think I've still got some in there and that was at 11:00AM (it's 10:30PM now)! It was awesome though. Except for the bannana that kept getting stuck in my straw. I'd tear and suck up bannana by the chunk but there was still loads left in the bottom when I finished it. I wonder if they use reduced rotten bannanas? It's be a shame to use shelf-worthy pretty bannanas, but it's kinda nasty to think about what may be in the drink.
Oh, and I got some chili on my shirt. :evil: No biggie though. I just buttoned up a long-sleeve shirt over it and went to class. It was kinda cold and windy anyway. I wonder if anyone smelled chili on me?

Collectors editions of those games are quite easy to find.
WoW on the other hand is it's own affair.
And there is always eBay. The price seems to have dropped on the CE's to a considerably reasonable $90. They were going for $250+ a week ago.
So yeah, the collectors isn't preorder only.

I ordered two CEs (one for me, one for the wife). All is good. However, I got a copy of the CE from work for a project I did. Anyone in the lower mainland still need one? Straight (Canadian) retail price - no gouging.
If no one wants it, I'm just going to keep it. The idea of Ebaying something like this strikes me as... evil.
