Aloha gentlemen (ladies, too). I've been trying to set up my own webcomicking gig, starting with single-panel posts on a raw comicpress page. I'm aiming for better and have been trying to add some structure to my site. Advice for comic/site (I don't want to site-whore, but if you would critique, the url is show in the comic images)? Below are early/recent comic comparisons.

EDIT: My comic is essentially whatever I happen to come up for every day. Since it's so frequent (and I have a job), I tend to use liberal copy/paste. Perhaps too much? Below is another comic example with less recycling entitled "Innuendo Test."

Someone selling a used car, by the looks of it.

OP, I think you're losing a lot of potential for emotional expression in your characters going by your current designs. The brow, eyes, and mouth are all abbreviated. Why?

    copy + paste = bad

i'm not saying that your COMIC is bad, just that copying and pasting things from one panel to another can look lazy

obviously if it is a complicated background that doesn't change in the slightest between panels, then you're probably allowed a free pass

but drawing people is all about conveying movement and mood, which is hard to pick up on if they are frozen in one position

not only will doing less copy-pasting make the comic look more interesting, it'll help you practice.

i know it takes more time, but trust me it helps! you''ll get better more quickly, as you learn to draw everything faster, with more variation and in a more natural way

@Dirtydirtyvagrant I have to say it wasn't on purpose. The character's design hasn't really been controlled as it has changed over the years.

@Fletcher I'm thinking maybe this comic was a bad example. Reflecting, I find I do tend to take shortcuts with copy/paste since I've taken to digital. I do take some more shortcuts though, since I try to update on a daily basis. I love the practice though, so I can always understand needing more.
