Selling flight vouchers

Anyone have any idea how to do this and not get scammed? I have a voucher I got when I was bumped in Peru, it expires August 12th and is worth $600. It's good for international flights or whatever.

I figured craigslist would be alright, I sold a TV there before, but I have no clue how to guarantee to people that I am not scamming THEM and I certainly don't want to be screwed.

Is it better to get cash, money order, postal check?

Thanks dudes, I want more money for LA. XD

    Cash only.

And to reassure others, post pictures of it and make sure to mention that you won't post it, but hand it over at a face-to-face meeting in a public place like a food court at a mall.

Don't ever take anything other than cash on CL. Beyond that, just list it as what it is and someone will probably buy it. Make sure to black out any unique IDs on the voucher if you post a pic.

make sure you know how you redeem them. i think some vouchers need the person who it was issued to, to make any reservations with it

If there is a service number on the voucher you can have the person call it in to make sure it's valid when they come to pick it up. In your ad state that they are able to do this at time of pick up (call the number yourself before posting the ad so you know that they can validate it over the phone)

Similarly if all the information needed to redeem the voucher is in the picture (I don't know if that is the case or not) someone might redeem the voucher based off of the information in the picture, so ms paint/photoshop out the voucher ID #.

Which airline are the vouchers for? I'm guessing you'll already have checked, but...

I had $400 of vouchers for Air Canada, and I thought about selling them on, but I noticed in the small print that they were non-transferrable, and actually had my name on the back of them in really small print...

I was annoyed because those vouchers eventually went to waste...
