PC upgrade time!

Hey guys. Looking to upgrade my pc a little bit, and well, I still don't know the first thing about pc's really!
So here's my pc:

System Model: M61PME-S2
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 3584MB RAM (4Gb of DDR2 800Mhz)
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
Display Memory: 512.0 MB

I'm thinking it's time for a new cpu and video card. Thoughts on what I should get?
