    Having difficulty believing that is the cream of the handheld games for the past year.

    Asserting my fears, the games all have to be Canadian.

    How can people take video game award shows seriously when they don't even take themselves seriously. hmph


    Anyways. Have fun at the show and I'll check out your blog. Prototype surprised me on the list. I have it tucked away in a corner, maybe I should take it out and play.

    I had no idea there was such a thing as the Canadian videogame awards, but I'm incredibly happy that there is. A lot of good games come out of my country and it's nice to see them recognized.

    Seems kind of pointless, noone really makes distinctions between where a game is made other then east and west.

    I doubt you'll be shocked that Assassin's Creed II won best game design - they called it "assassin's creed 1 with everything fixed". Heh.

    Looks like Propaganda (the guys who did Turok) are working on the next TRON game. Videogames Live is doing a tribute to TRON right now, which means I'll be up til 2am as I'll hav to watch it when I get home.

    huh, doesn't excluding like 95% of the possible entries kind of make these awards pointless?

    I think I am going to hold a "Most awesome guy ever" award show, but your online handle has to start with an M, contain 2 vowels, and be exactly 7 letters, with no repeats to enter!

    I am glad the Canadian development industry is growing but, seriously, CVGAs are a bit premature, I'd say. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good games made here, but when you have to struggle to pick games to fill each category it is kind of deflates the award somewhat.

    Assassin's Creed II takes Best Console Game, Dragon Age: Origins wins Canadian Game of the Year. Sorry for the lag, battery in the laptop they gave me today has been crap.

    It's a bit like The Junos, for me. Really, although I'm a proud Canadian and I want the world to know we're an awesome country, even I can't bring myself to care much about this.

    It's nice to see Victor Lucas doing something without Scott Jones chirping on his shoulder, though.

    Nice. I'm a bit leery of the PC DRM, DLC, and this Brotherhood spin off-stuff, but ACII at its core was a wonderful game that totally deserves this.

    I don't get the best Technology award. What does that even mean? They're both PS3 games, and if you ask me, Prototype was kind of ass-tastic. Not to put down the developers or anything, they all worked hard, but seriously - Prototype was an overall mediocre game.

    And yay for Capy Games! Critter Crunch and M&M:CoH were excellent games.
