    Signs point to yes, but it may be contested much quicker than we thought.

    The current models have them being roughly the same size, or slightly larger, than the Conservatives on their own.

    If we do end up with a Hung Parliament, the weekend's gonna be interesting.

    Is a coalition government with Labour and the lib dems possible?

    Maybe. Depending on the results.

    If the exit poll is accurate, yes. If Labour and/or the Lib Dems do better than it suggests, it seems likely.

    Surely teh solution right now is just to reopen polls in those areas and letpeople vote.

    Those voters would know the results in the rest of the country, which means their votes could disproportionately affect the results of the election. You need to re-run the whole thing.

    EDIT: Also Paxman can't pronounce "Kirkcaldy".

    I would laugh for days if Gordon Brown got a majority now, just because of how big a twat all the Conservatives would look after tonight.

    I love the bickering between Paxman and Dimbleby. That's perhaps the most riveting thing they're showing right now.

    What a tragedy that, after a campaign which engaged and energised many who were previously cynical about politics, tonight's story may be being overshadowed by the extraordinary revelation that Britain cannot competently run the most basic part of the democratic process.

    So, let me get this straight;
    • Some voters have been denied their vote due to massive turnouts and time constraints
    • Some voters have been denied their votes due to polling stations running out of ballots
    • Some voters have been denied their votes due to postal votes going missing

    This is shaping up to be a very interesting night, all round.
