monitor issue

I think my LCD monitor is broken, I just want an ETA on its actual death.

when I turn it on, the picture is very slow to change, and things will slowly fade in and out as new windows open. Its also oversaturated and very bright. After several minutes (3-10), it will very suddenly start working just fine.

Once it starts working normally, running any game will cause the whole problem to start over again. I already tried hooking the monitor up to a different computer and the same problem happened, so I know its a monitor issue and not a graphics card one.

If someone can tell me what going on and how soon I need to get a new monitor, I would greatly appreciate it.

Some monitors get like this with age. The problem with games is, I'm assuming, when it changes resolutions it sets it into auto-correct mode or whatnot. So it repeats the issue as if you had turned it off and on.

It's probably going to last indefinitely, the only thing is how much it annoys you to spend the ~$120 to get a new one.
