    Yeah, Scott's weight loss is pretty fantastic. I'm amazed at how frank he is with it and my respect for him keeps growing every time I see something where he addresses something really super personal in public - like the Blamimation that's just all fat jokes or joking about being infertile at PAX 09.

    It seems here though that Mike tried to do something nice or maybe just didn't feel comfortable drawing him big, and now we've all ruined it by making a big thing of it :S

    Yeah he's really put in a great effort to lose the weight and he's still going strong, I believe. I don't think Mike drew him that skinny, to be honest. Mr. Kuntz is good people.

    Now there's some kind of reason why you can't (prions?) but I have no idea how the danger of prion infection (CJD) from human meat is any different from getting prion infection (mad cow) from cattle meat.

    It's not terribly helpful to tell me that I have some kind of fundamental concept wrong here but not tell me how it's wrong or what the actual correct answer is.

    What I'm saying is that for all the squeamishness surrounding the concept, the danger of prion infection don't seem to be a very good argument against cannibalism.

    It's just something we don't do because of social and cultural taboos, a lot like adults drinking human breast milk (to bring this conversation back on topic).

    I think the social/ethical implications of this are a little outside of the scope of this hypothetical.

    I mean we are talking about using people as meat, here.

    Really it wouldn't matter what happened to the people with prion infections, as long as you don't eat them.

    The problem is brain tissue, not meat.

    In the US, it's illegal to use an animal for both meat and research purposes, meaning we don't cut the brains out of cows in meat packaging plants.

    Cannibals get CJD because they love some tasty brains.
