Video conferencing software

I'm looking for video conferencing software and I hardly know where to begin. The ideal solution for me would:
  1. Be free
  2. Allow me to display video of myself and also from a document camera simultaneously
  3. Have a sort of MS paint area that the conferees can scribble in
  4. Have a text chat window in addition to voice
  5. The ability to record sessions

Can anyone suggest a good program that meets some or all of those criteria?

Skype is the go-to program for this.

Does skype do all these things?
I've used something that did all this, but it was VERY expensive (Adobe Connect). It does sound like you might be after a pro solution here... HAving said that, If anyone does know of a free solution - I'd also love to hear it... Though I'd add screen-casting to the list of wishes ;-)

I've been in meetings where Webex was used, but it isn't free. I think it does have a free 14 day trial.

Try searching for freeware alternatives to Webex and Gotomeeting.

You might have to use Skype along with something like Mikogo.
