Weird Vid Card Problem

So an odd thing happens with my computer sometimes. I'll turn it on and my monitor just gives me a "No signal" message. But I know that the PC itself is working because I can get windows to shut down using the keyboard. It also does this when I'm trying to resume from stand by. I'll put it in stand by mode and when I turn it on, I get the "No signal" thing again. I'm pretty sure it's not the monitor since I traded monitors with my brother and got the same problems. It isn't a huge problem (although I do miss being able to put my pc on stand by when I leave the house) but I'm worried it might be a signal that the vid card is dying or something. When none of these problems occur, the card works fine. Anyone run into this before?

Here are the specs:
Nvidia GeForce 7600
Asus P5B
Intel Core2 6300

I'm assuming, when you traded monitors you also traded cords?

edit: Also, do you happen to use two monitors on one card (ie: with a two monitor adaptor)? If so check your adaptor, those things tend to give trouble as well.

Yep, changed cords too to make sure. And no, one mon for one computer.

Another weird thing is that when I right click on the Nvidia button in my taskbar (lower right hand corner, the icons next to the time), the screen flashes black for a split second. It's like a flickering.

I just updated before making my post and it hasn't really made much of a difference. I still can't come back from stand by although I won't be sure if it'll have any effect on the start-up problem until I go through a few days.
