Best way to find people to lease my place?

So me and my wife got an amazing deal on a full house in a town 14 miles away. The current townhouse that we are living in is owned by my wifes parents. They want to move it to in about a year, so we need to find people to lease the townhouse for a year.

What is the best way to find people? I have put a couple ads on Craigslist but have not recieved too many responses yet.

What else can I do, perferably not getting a real esstate agent involved in all of this?

Put an ad in a homes for sale/rent magazine. The kind you find in a grocery store/restaraunt.

I had the most success with kijiji when I was trying to find a roommate, but that may be related more to my area than anything else

if there are post-secondary institutions around where you live, you may want to see if they have housing registries you could advertise on (usually fairly cheap, like $20 for 1-2 weeks)

Hmm... if the house is relatively close to a college or something, find a bulletin board or three and put something up. Aside from that, you've already gone with craigslist, so maybe an ad in the classifieds. Or talk to friends, see if they know someone who needs a place.
