Fuzzy White Lines In Adobe Photoshop

Does anyone know how to get rid of the fuzzy white lines in adobe photoshop when you try to fill in lineart with the paintbucket? Someone told me that I can make another layer and change the transparency, but I do not know the specifics on this technique. Can anyone clarify for me? I want to fill in my lineart with the paintbucket tool in adobe photoshop and have the color fully connect to my black lines (as in with no fuzzy white line between the color and the black outline)
