I had this dream and in it I saw all of my friends. It sort of focused on the problems in our relationships. One friend was complaining at me and I was fed up. One of my friend's Dad came up to me and gave me a big long hug because I had this girlfriend, and there's more, but the important part, or the pat I really cared about, was that this girl in my dream, who I'm only starting to talk to now, said to me, "Matt, you're a drama queen, in your own way." it was in a put off or disappointed way and I can't stop thinking about it. Now when I look back on my memories it's all I see., like a lot of my actions are melodramatic. How can I stop being a drama queen?
PS I don't think it's very good for my life. I think it holds me back in ways, especially relationships.

Hi Matt,
I don't quite know what sort of advice you're searching for but here's my practical anti-dramatics advice:
Before reacting (or panicking) to anything, especially if you're upset, take a nice deep breath - calm yourself down properly, and think it through... slowly.
If other people are involved try to flex out your empathy muscle and imagine things from their point of view. Image you're in exactly their shoes. By this I do not mean "How you would act in their position" but rather "Why they are acting the way they are". And I would also suggest that in any situation aim for compassion where others are involved.
Well, for starters, I would stop getting so upset over a dream you had.

'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'

I was going to call the OP a silly goose for getting so worked up over a dream, but then I realized that's probably a perfect example of him being a dramaqueen.
Look up a book called "Don't sweat the small stuff". In HS a girl used to give a speech based on this book (Speech and Debate dork here) and it seemed full of useful tips.

I hope that helps and makes a bit of sense!
