My car A/C has had a distinct smell for the first several seconds after I turn it on. It goes away faster the higher the dial is. But if I keep it off for a few minutes it comes back.
What might this be? Is there a filter that needs changing? If so, can I do it myself? If not, how much does it typically cost?
