How to clean an LCD Monitor?

I own an Acer AL2216W monitor, and I'm very pleased with it, but I haven't really had much luck cleaning it, and after a few years, it's beginning to show (especially when I'm looking at something with a lot of white in it).

I tried 'Klear Screen' brand cleaner, which is ammonia and alcohol free, and that helps a little, but it still leaves a lot of streaks pretty much everywhere. Using a microfiber to wipe doesn't seem to help either, and does nothing about the streaks and smudges.

What am I doing wrong?

I always use eye glass cleaner and micro fiber cloths. It may take a few passes, but it always does a great job.

I've got the same problem. Microfiber cloth helps a bit but still leaves smudgy bits. I've been using a cleaning gel but it isn't that great. Good for glasses but not so much for monitors.

I haven't tested this yet but I've heard microfiber cloth + destilled water + a tiny bit of dish liquid really helps and isn't as expensive as specialized gels.

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.

Granted, I don't let my monitor go years between cleaning, but I use anti-static monitor wipes I picked up at Frys for $7 and they work great. I'm looking at the Klear Screen stuff on Amazon, and it states that there's a very specific procedure you need to follow, and if you see grime afterwards, you've done it wrong. Did you follow instructions, or just use them straight out of the packaging?
