Eyefinity Q:

stigweardstigweard Registered User regular
I've got a system setup with three monitors (all support dvi, vga, and displayport) , a visiontek 5750 (eyefinity capable), and an accell displayport to dvi converter (it's on the approved list at amd). What I don't have is a straight displayport cable as the monitors that were ordered were thought to be hdmi, not displayport so they came with useless hdmi cables instead.

The display port adapater works on its own, and with one dvi monitor, but I cannot get all three monitors running with extended desktop. I'm at a loss, all components are compatible, I'm running the latest drivers, and I've tried different methods to get all three monitors working to no avail. Is this something that will be fixed by ordering in a displayport cable? Or, will it be the same issue? Is there some step I am missing to setting this up correctly?

    I apologize if this is already how you've got it set-up, but for what you're wanting to do, you'll need:

    Monitor 1: DVI
    Monitor 2: DVI
    Monitor 3: DP <-Active Adapter-> DVI

    And not use the HDMI port at all.

    It's monitor configuration #2.

    It's setup that way. I think i am going to toss the adapter and go for a displayport cable instead. Accodring to everything I've read, it should get rid of the problem.
