Homemade Anti-Itch Treatments

So yesterday I got bit pretty much everywhere by some sneaky thing. My dermatologist's reaction was simply "Oh god, you poor thing," when he took a look at me. I have a steroid cream to apply twice a day and it works for about 2 hours before the itch comes back. I got some Benadryl cream to supplement the steroid cream (my pharmacist cleared this as having no crazy chemical issues) and it works for about 10 minutes. I am itching everywhere in the mean time.

Right now I have a baking soda and water paste on and it soothed instantly and is helping but everything I can read about this says it will be a short fix like calamine lotion. I am also flaking baking soda everywhere. What I want to know is what other homemade remedies you have used to sooth a mean itch.

Aloe Vera plant. Keep one in your residence for things like these and kitchen burns as well. Plant grows practically anywhere and needs little care. Looks cool as well. Just break off a tip and start squeezing it while rubbing gently across your skin.

Aloe, rose, oatmeal. Oatmeal + calamine bath is awesome.

Get some Aveeno anti itch cream.
It is amazing, entirely and completely.

I used to wake up at night FURIOUSLY and TEAR-JERKINGLY itchy from a skin condition, and that always always killed it dead.

They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.
