Let's start at the beginning. Abou 6 or 7 years ago, when I was still in high school, I was sparring with a friend when he caught me loose jawed with a solid right hook. Ever since then I've been able to pop the right side of my jaw and feel the need to do so from time to time.
I don't know what I managed to do today but my jaw is bothering being a big nuisance. I can't pop it and it feels as if there's a great pressure on the right side similar to the kind I would normally release by popping it. Also, when I open my mouth wide it feels sore on the right side of my jaw. Finally when I chew something on the left side of my mouth it sounds like there's something grinding together on the right side of my jaw.
I do recall hearing of some condition characterized by a popping jaw a couple years back, but I dismissed it as I didn't consider mine a nuisance.
Well, this is pretty specific and most likely requires a specialist, which i highly recomend becuase this could get worse.
I have a problem where the joints don't work perectly, which rarely results in locking and a bit of pain. Everyone has a jaw problem though, it's something to do with the jaw bones.
But this sounds differant, see a doctor and he'll redirect you or something.
Weird. I have like the same problem. Except sometimes my jaw locks up on the right side and I can't open it all the way until it pops. It's pretty funny when I'm eating and then all of a sudden I can't chew or open my mouth properly.

I have the same problem ever since I got tackles by the jaw (heh) in football back in high school. I have just lived with it. I actually find it a bit theraputic to pop my jaw. It occasionally locks and RARELY gives pain.
My jaw hurt like hell while those suckers were coming out but once they got out my jaw wasn't as swollen and the pain went away.
I have been through some periods of jaw pain outside of that though and I get that having to crack it on the right and not being able to crack it sometimes. Things I've found that can cause it are tight shoulders along with poor posture. When I received ART(active release technique) on my right shoulder, my jaw immediately felt stress free and moved with ease thats never graced it before. I reccomend you hit up a physio therapist if your posture isn't too hot overall or if you suffer from tight/painfull shoulders on the same side as well.
Of course get it checked out by a doctor/dentist first.
I'm hoping this will help. I've had one out on the left side, but one is starting to grow in on the right top side now. I've been told there's room for my wisdom teeth on the top, they're just so far back there's no practical way I could keep them clean. I've also been told the ones on the bottom look like they'll never grow out.
I'm planning on making a dentist appointment anyway to see about it so I guess I'll manage to get two birds there.
Same problem, caught a left hook in High School. Dr said it was TMJ and not a big deal. My GF said I also grind and clench my teeth at night, turns out this isn't helping. The dentist made me a bite guard but I'm a bit of an insomniac so I really don't wear it. Now that I know I clench I'm trying to get out of the habit during the day. My jaw still clicks but it isn't painful or bothersome.
Everywhereasign on
"What are you dense? Are you retarded or something? Who the hell do you think I am? I'm the goddamn Batman!"
