I'd like to verbally communicate with my friend while we play Modern Warfare 2.

I found this and this at Best Buy.

Those are just a few that I found. What would you recommend?

Any particular reason you are going with wired headsets? The PS3 has built in Bluetooth, you could get a decent Bluetooth headset and use that.

I bought Warhawk and the Jabra headset that comes with it through Amazon.

It's $40, comes with a game (which I have yet to touch), and apparently the Jabra headset is better than the PS3 one.

A lot of people love the official ps3 bluetooth headset, but some also say that it digs into your ear and hurts over long periods of gaming. I got a $40 jabra from best buy and that works fine.

The official headset works great, bit the design is terrible. It does dig into the ear after a while. Maybe it's the shape of my ear? YMMV.

I've had the PS3 headset for months and have yet to use it.Guess no one wants to voice chat without doing anything else.

I only want to communicate with my friend. Is it possible to put restrictions on who I talk to (obviously "ignore") or specify who I want to talk to [while gaming]?
