Crimson Skie ... Snoopy Flying Ace, OUT NOW!! 800pts
Choose from 16 different aircraft including the famous Sopwith Camel and the infamous Red Baron's Fokker Tripla--
WAIT CAN I FLY THE DOGHOUSE?!
Yes. But only if you're a true flying ace.
Ten different battlefields to fight across
Nine online game modes including 16-player free-for-all deathmatch and team-based airborne rugby
Play as Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy or any of the 12 classic members of the Peanuts gang. Or, climb into the cockpit with your Xbox LIVE Avatar, but who the hell would want to do that.
i was always interested in the ps2 game of this that came out some years ago, but i never pulled the trigger on it. snoopy vs the red baron, it was called. i remember it getting pretty positive reviews at the time.
Downloaded the demo last night. Didn't get a chance to try it out yet though (have to finish Alan Wake). Maybe I'll get a chance to play it in front of my kids this afternoon. If it looks like all the videos I've seen and plays like Crimson Skies it will be a buy for me.

Why are we not talking about it. Probaly one of the best games on XBLA to date ...
Agreed. Tell your friends. This game is fun. I'll be picking up some MS points later as well. We need to get a list of people who buy it and then start up some private matches.
Any sort of co-op on one console mode? My gf would be all about this.
There was some sort of co-op section on the demo, but it was locked. I couldn't tell you if it was on one console or over live, or even if it was the story or multiplayer. Hopefully someone who already has the game can tell you more about it.
And now my trial time is up. Off to gamestop for points.
There's split screen and four-way split for couch versus, there's offline splitscreen co-op missions, ONline split screen versus, Online split screen co-op, and even in offline multiplayer you can fill up the game with bots and all game types are available to offline players.
This is comprehensive shit that the big boys don't think is worth anyone's time in retail games. THE F**KING SNOOPY GAME.
Game also has a fabulously attractive art style and beautifully modeled characters and planes.
Finally, I can't believe how well it runs in a 16 player free for all where the entire screen is nothing but contrails, explosions, tracers, and flaming death.
Most of all though, and this goes back to the Crimson Sky similarities, I like how it's a dogfight game where the environment really matters, and each map is lovingly crafted with details, interactive elements, and strategies.
Somebody else posted this but it sums up my thoughts as well.

He makes a lot of good points. We def. need to be supporting games like this. Also the more who buy it, the more lilely we'll see some DLC in the future. The main site actually hints at some new gametypes in the future if you read the articles.

Multiplayer could be the selling point though!

If the combat handles like Crimson Skies I'll be interested.
The color indicates it's Root Beer.
And now I need a Barqs.
it's root beer, funimation style.
Actually this game has been getting a lot of good advance buzz.
Which means that you'll hate it.
Well, in that case the Peanuts crew is technically old enough to drink.
Well the game is supposedly the spiritual successor to Crimson Skies ...
Well, Crimson Skies did have...
Dogfights.

Personally, when I think of Crimson Skies, It's not the (admitingly fun) Xbox game, but it's more sim-y PC predicessor...
Though that game's New York could go to hell...
800 points? Fuck yes I will buy this.
Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron was pretty good, so I'm hopeful.
I have a feeling this might also be the case.
So of course it's not out on PSN.

Somewhere, Jim Davis is pissed that this isn't a licensed Garfield game.
Mind, I liked Garfield: Caught in the Act back in the day, but now? Just kind of surprising they've stuck to it.
Then again, when I was a kid, I came up with a Konami-style beat-em-up based on the Garfield and Friends cartoon, so...

It's not like this is God of War, with Snoopy ripping off Linus' head while Patty and Marcie make out in an orgy scene. It's very cartoony violence.
Although given the nature of fandumb, it's only a matter of time.
