    it does seem like fun

    near as I can tell the pitch is basically "mario kart but with actual cars"

    I am tempted to get it on steam when I have the funds

    This comic is pretty damn accurate.

    the blur beta was pretty fun, but sometimes it just pisses you the fuck off

    Like when your drop from 1st to 12th because 5 different people hit you with a weapon in a row.

    I keep confusing Blur with Brink

    I absolutely don't care about racing games. They could be internationally banned tomorrow and I would hardly notice apart from my brother probably killing himself.

    I feel the same way.

    But Blur is fun as fuck.

    I got excited playing it in the same way that my brother does playing normal racing games. And for a breif time, I understood.

    I still hate vanilla racing games though.

    so one of the powerups is losing to bullshit. one of the powerups is winning by luck and not skill. and another power up makes you go what the hell.

    You know, lets put aside the idea that Blur is supposed to be a "mario kart" for manly adult men.

    The idea of driving shiny modern cars in a realistic environment with ridiculous powerups sounds pretty cool.

    Just the idea itself, look at it. If you like multiplayer racing at all that sounds fun as fuck. If it doesn't you're dead inside. Go find a sarcophagus to crawl in.

    I like the comic because it harkens back to some of the comics in the old days. This one, more specifically, an all time favorite:

    You serious? I kinda got it right from the start. It's a pretty universal thing.

    Heck, this could be a comic about Super Smash Bros and it'd still work. Only thing making it especially for Blur is the lightbloom on the powerups.
