[Request On] A multiplayer game with various classes/leveling

Help!

I've become extremely bored and I'm looking for a game that has some sort of class based/leveling system to play with some random people/PAers/Friends.

Games that describe what I want: Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Multiplayer, TF2 (if it had some sort of "for killing 5 dudes this life here's a bonus").

I know you guys must have some ideas for other games that would be awesome, but I don't' know any others.

Any clues?

ALTERNATIVELY

I'd be up for putting together some Game on w/Dark Messiah's multi. It's not the best by any stretch, but I recall enjoying it some years ago.

Lead & Gold sounds like it would fit the bill, although I'm unsure of its current population levels.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2? It has classes and levelling, but not sure if that's what you're going for. It's what came to mind when you mentioned TF2, although it has a lot less classes and is a completely different style.

Borderlands sounds perfect for you, assuming they fixed the PC chat issues.

I'm a little more interested in playing in individual games or something of that nature, more like arenas or one shot instances, than a persistent world.

If anyone ever played Spellbound the nexus conflict or Magestorm back in the day, things like that are fantastic.

I haven't played either of those games you mentioned, but I think Defence of the Ancients (a popular Warcraft III map) fits the description. It's got quite a learning curve though.

Shadowrun is the best game but it doesn't really have levelling or classes. There are different races and your skills are bought with money before the round similar to counter strike.

Oooh Multiplayer Dark Messiah would be fun if we can get a few people together. It really did have a great multiplayer. Felt like I was playing a medieval style TF2, it was lacking hats though.
