Lumpy Scrotum?

Ok so my scrotum feels weird. I'm making an appointment for the doc as soon as humanly possible, so I will see the doctor soon. Still, I can't help worrying about what the heck this could be.

My scrotum has stringy lumps in it. It is like a bunch of big veins running to my left testicle. Nothing is wrong with the testicle as far as I can tell, no lumps or enlargement or anything, so it is just in the sack, basically.

I noticed it a couple of weeks ago, but it went away and I didn't think about it. Then I was in the car for 4 hours on Friday, and it was really bad, and it hasn't gone away yet.

Basically, I'm really nervous about what could be wrong with my nuts, I'm only 23, I can't have something too serious, right?

Thanks guys.

Lumpy balls happen. Your doctor will be able to let you know for sure. Not much else that can be done one way or another.

    Prognosis

Varicocele is usually harmless except in cases of infertility. If surgery is required because of infertility or testicular atrophy, the outcome is usually excellent. Removal of varicocele can lead to normal testicular temperatures and an increased sperm production.[14] An inguinal hernia can sometimes be misdiagnosed as a varicocele by an untrained eye.

I Am Not A Doctor... But I do work for doctors. The current cancer (because let's face it, that's what you're worried about) referral guidance for British doctors state that a swelling or lump not on the actual body of the testes, i.e. what you've described, is "almost never cancer".

See your doc, but chill about testicular cancer, it's probably not that.

Well, try not to worry yourself too much about it. It does sound a bit abnormal, but I don't think it's too serious if it went away before then came back, it could just be something as simple as a seminal blockage. But you did the right thing by making the earliest appointment to see a doctor. Hope everything's all right.

Don't worry doc, that sounds like it a lot. The description "bag of worms" is spot on, albeit, small worms.

And yeah, I figured it wasn't cancer, as what I've read so far says that cancer is almost always on the testicle itself, and this isn't, but of course, I can't help but freak out when something is wrong with my nuts.

Thanks guys, that helps a lot.

Fuck, and not to steal the OP's thunder, but I'm fairly certain that I have this.

I'm afraid now, because my lady and I have been not not trying for 3 years to have a kid without any results. Shit, wish me luck guys.

Well this is comforting, i was going to make a thread but here will do, im going to the docs tomorrow because on the left testicle the epididymus, basically the thing that attaches the testicles to the body (not the testes themselves) has a hard lump there where the right does not. If anyone has any experience with this or theories id love to know, im booking an appointment tomorrow regardless for peace of mind.

I had a varicocele that caused great pain. I had surgery to get it taken care of. It was no big deal, if it is not causing you any pain, then you are probably fine. but go get it checked out anyways... just to be safe.

If you had read the post, it quite clearly states that I am going to a doctor as soon as possible. I'm simply doing this to help me calm down, as it has done quite a lot, so I don't need your condescension.

And for everybody else, you've been a great help, thank you very much.
