Hello H/A.

I have a question. I am in the market for a new vibrator (clitorial stimulation only. I do not insert) but one that is silent. Does anyone have any suggestions? The one I have now is about $5, but I have to use it under a series of pillows and even then, you can kind of hear the vibrations. I've heard of little clips you can put on that special part of you, and of vibrating panties, but I want to hear some feedback from real people on what is really silent and what isn't.

Thanks!

Where do you live? Most decent sized cities will have a sex shop staffed and owned by women with I'm sure plenty of great advice.

You'd want something large with a fair amount of mass. The vibrations are what's causing the sound, and being housed in a thin piece of plastic isn't going to help. But a large, relatively squishy material is going to reduce the sound significantly. But yeah, this is the sort of thing that is probably best to simply go to a shop and ask the staff to turn on so you can gauge the loudness.

And do find a place that will actually take things out of their boxes to show you, or have demo models of everything. Those places are out there, and are pretty awesome.

When I worked in a porn store, whenever someone bought something involving batteries we had to take it out of the package, put batteries in it, and make sure it worked. Can't have people getting off and then returning it, claiming it doesn't work. Gross. People would just be horrified that we were busting out their new toy right there in front of everyone.

Haha, I worked at one for about two days, and we had to do that too. They had a deal where you could return DVDs for store credit. The DVDs would of course then be cleaned, repackaged, and resold at full price, which I have to say made me cringe just a little bit.

I live in Philadelphia. I know most of the sex shops are on South Street, but they don't seem to have a good selection when I go in. Is there a specific store any one would know of?

I think my budget is around 30 maybe 40 dollars.

In Philly, no. I live about 45 minutes out and really don't get to the city much.

And if your comfortable buying online there's a rating chart for sound and intensity.

I've had luck at The Pleasure Chest shopping for my wife, I'd give them a try.

Now, would they be the same as the website thepleasurechest? Because I'm looking at their website now for vibrators but they say their boutiques are in NYC, Chicago and LA.

Honestly, I'm not sure. The logo on the store is the same as the one on that website but it's not listed as being one of their boutiques. They've got a nice enough selection and a friendly (but not too much so) staff. I've only been in a few times but it's had what we needed

Best vibrator IN THE WORLD, according to the woman sitting next to me.

    http://store.babeland.com/vibrators-premium/jimmyjane-form-2

    Form 2 from babeland.

I think the benefits of this sort of vibe should be apparent from the shape but it's also very silent, rechargeable, and is made from an excellent and easy to clean gripping material.

I would just like to state how awesome Babeland is. I don't know if their shops are just in New York, but if there's one around you, I highly recommend going and talking to the staff about your questions.

Nope, they're just in New York and Seattle (when they were originally founded).

I'll be on the look out for Aoi's vibrator, and when I get a job, I'll definitely check out more of the vibrators that everyone else suggested.

I have two other questions though that just popped to mind that have nothing to do with vibrators though. I am on the lookout for this necklace and shirt

necklace: Master If not the necklace itself but maybe a way to make it?

and a shirt that says "Diamonds are a girl's best friend. But my dick is a real close second" I know the shirt is pretty...dumb but I, for some reason beyond me, really want it because its just so stupid it makes me laugh. I don't know if anyone ever has one of those "Its so stupid I have to have it" moments, but this is mine.

I've googled but couldn't find either (nor suggestions on how to get them). H/A, any ideas?

    T-Shirt

Uses cock instead of dick, hope that's not a problem? A lot of malls around my area have plain shirts you can buy and they'll screen on whatever text you want, if you wanted to go that route. No luck on my part for the necklace though.

Thanks, "cock" does seem too strong though D: But the screen thing sounds cool.

i've shopped in condom kingdom before (437 south street). granted i wasn't looking particularly for those sorts of items (my clitoris is, tragically, nowhere to be found) but i seem to remember them having a decently sized wall of both comically large vibrators and smaller ones that focused on vibration and things like that versus penetration. i couldn't speak to their quietness personally, but i can tell you that the employees were (when i shopped) quite personable and knowledgeable.
