Cramps pretty much. I first noticed them May 30th when my toe had a bit of a cramp on a car ride. That night I woke up to a charlie horse. Now it seems as though the backs of my knees start feeling agitated if I even begin to sit funny or stretch out in bed.
I drink plenty of water and walk plenty at work. My soda intake is limited to 2 a day 3 tops. I am not severely overweight.
On the internet, it seems there are conflicting reports of what actually cures these cramps. Heat is bad. Heat is good.

I believe there are also supplement pills you can take. Just be careful because it is possible to get too much potassium. You can always go to a doctor and have blood work done. They can tell you what your potassium level is at.
Strawberries are a better source than bananas. So are potatoes. Dates and raisins. Yoghurt. Mushrooms. White Beans. Tomatoes and clams. Eat a more diverse diet and you'll probably notch up your potassium intake.
Also, stretch out those muscles. Find a ledge of step, put your toes and the ball of your feet on it then lower your heels below the ledge. Then raise them above the ledge. That's a nice stretch for the calves.
Sit on the floor with your legs extended, grab the top of your foot and gently stretch it back.
Personally, neither heat nor cold helped my muscle cramps, but a nice hard rubs did. Do you have anyone who could rub your legs occasionally? If not, they have those balls/rolls that you can put on the floor and try it that way.
I asked my friend about it last night when I was at his house, since he used to have the same problem. He said he just eats a banana every few days now, and never has any problems with them anymore.

I may start taking the multi-vitamins because that isn't a very bad idea.
How much is a bottle?

but probably about 10-20 bucks for 150-300 pills depending on what you buy and how much you're willing to pay for hype
