Ok so I was reading a thread on the forums about old cartoons and it sparked some memories of obscure cartoons I used to watch as a kid; C.O.P.S, EXO Squad, Bravestarr, etc.
However I remember watching a show where there were a team of jet fighter pilots that had custom painted fighter jest that they would launch from a flying fortress. I specifically remember one pilot had an American fighter jet, something close to an F15 that was completely painted in tiger stripes. The cartoon would have been from the late 80's early 90's no later than 1995.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't G.I. Joes, but if you can track down a picture or a video clip proving so my mind would be set at ease.
Random? Yeah, but it's really bugging me and I cant find anything online.
There seriously needs to be a tag/category or something on Wikipedia for "80s Cartoon titles that can be misconstrued as something sexual".
I remember buying NBA Jam on the Megadrive and the back of the box threatened to welcome me to a "world of rim ramming" - I showed my dad when I got home, we just sat there chuckling for a good 10 minutes.

Man, for an obscure cartoon, it sure has a detailed Wikipedia page.

Heh, from Wikipedia:
The show used the catchphrase "The command is in my hand" when characters wished to transform their planes, using their rings to make them more powerful.

Ah yes. Glad someone got it, sorry I didn't catch this question soon enough. Ring Raiders was a late toyetic period piece that unfortunatly got slaughtered by the death of afternoon cartoons and the birth cable televisions domination.
See...the later to come Toonami Era. But the late 80's early 90's era could be be described as Disney Afternoon. The last period of honestly good afternoon shows on a non-cable exclusive channel.
That and the show was drek.
Joe...who watched (and still watches) WAY too many cartoons.
Ha, holy shit. I was watching that video, thinking it was just some 80's show I had never heard of before, until they panned over those jets. I was like, "Holy shit, I recognize those!" Then I saw that shot of the toys. My brother and I would play with those things for an eternity. And now I can remember all of them. Such a wave of nostalgia, and I had completely forgotten all about them. Thanks for this thread.

EDIT: Ring Raiders! I just googled 80 toys jets and rings.
