Anarchy Online has a slow framerate on my computer. I think the reason is because its not recognising my video card. When I look at the options, it doesnt show it, all it shows are Primary Driver: RGB Emulator, Direct 3D HAL, and Direct 3D T&L HAL. I have
First the no-shit question, all drivers updated? Second, you want the Direct 3D T&L HAL. Now, with those two things in hand, what kind of problem are we talking about here? Slow everywhere, or just in cities? How bad does your fps get in Shadowlands (if you can get there)? Is anti-aliasing turned off in your video settings? That card should definitely be good enough unless your system sucks. How much RAM and what CPU?
All drivers updated, and yes, I'm getting bad framerate on noob island. I think that that the problem is that its not recognising my card because I've seen in pictures that it shows 9600 or some other card when they select rendering devices. I wouldnt say my computer sucks huge, but it is old. 1014mb Ram.Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz. I have heard that better video cards don't get recognised, but older ones do. I can run games such as City of Heroes or WoW fine, and thats why I wonder I can't run this game from 2001 with excellent frame rate.

Could you be more specific? I'm not sure at all what or where you mean by "pictures". I'm not going to lie, it's been a long time since I've seen the AO launcher or the game in general.
I mean screen shots of when they pull up AO, they click on settings, and then they go to rendering devices, where theres a list, and the video card is there.
I'd say verify that Windows at least knows what your card is (Device Manager, or go to where you change your resolution). Assuming that Windows correctly recognizes your card you're probably going to have to talk to Funcom Support because that's pretty odd.
Yeah, I talked to Funcom, all they say is "That is a problem we are having with some nvidia cards, there is not a fix for this, we are sorry for the inconvience" and my computer recognises my card. I was thinking of buying an older cheap 6000 card to run it, since it seems to work better on old cards, but I dismissed it as retarded.
That game has always been notorious as a clusterfuck of bugginess. I remember I once had the urge a year ago to fire it up again and play my NT for a bit. Then I thought of the mission grinds and the heck grinds and fucking Scheol in general and said yea I don't think so.

Grinds are alright, as long as you a have a party to liven it up. Maybe I can buy an old card, or the graphics update later this year (Or next) will help it.
