My Ipod got washed and dried recently (not my fault..and yes it sucks) and I was wondering if I bought the extended 2 year Ipod warranty for 60 dollars if I could send it in and it would get fixed. The way I am looking at apple.com is that the warranty covers manufacturing defects only? I hope I am reading this wrong and I can spend 60 to get it fixed instead of buying a whole new one.
And yes, I have had it a little less than a year now, so I can still purchase the warranty.
Reading the T&Cs of the extended cover, it looks like it specifically excludes accidental damage. Do you have home contents insurance? You might be able to make a claim on that instead.
Eh, no, I don't. I think I am kind of screwed out of a Ipod on this...but, maybe I will just buy the Zen Vision M 60 gig instead. It is only 20 dollars more than a 30 gig Ipod video, and it seems to be a lot better than the pod from what I've read so far.
But I mean, if anyone knows of anyway to get my Ipod fixed relatively cheap, I would do that, cause I am tight on money. I wouldn't be able to buy anything new for MONTHS, and I need my music...BAD.
Oh, and a question about the Zen M while I'm at it. Can you use Itunes with it? I have just become attached to it, and would like to be able to continue to use it if I end up buying that.
