I recently took an interest in Amazon's Mechanical Turk service, and I'm curious to know if anyone else has had any experience with it. What sorts of tasks did the clients issue to you, how quickly were you paid, have you been stiffed on work, how was it resolved, etc?
Figure it might be an easy way to get some extra cash.

I've never used the Amazon service, but something similar to that was offered by a third party site a few years back, and it basically came out to working 8 hours a day would net you minimum wage.
I don't know if that's still the case, but it wasn't worth the time when I looked into it.
edit: for example, if a task on that site takes 1 minute per full operation, and you can spare 1 hour a day to work on it, and it pays .01 cents per full operation, (.01X60 = .60 centsX7) then you can make $4.20 a week.
The tasks can vary from describing a picture in three words, writing one paragraph reviews of movies, to finding the addresses of 10,000 law firms across the country.

This sums up my experience with Mechanical Turk perfectly.
