fuck, man. I was so hoping for a 1-1 draw after the 0-0 draw was screwed.
the shit part is that the guy who's already with an international club was the one who scored. there goes the hope that some poor bastard will get bought out to play for someone other than the Great Leader.
teams really should be looking at why DPRK were so hard to break down.
discipline
determination
tactical awareness
the koreans defended very well
oh man, just from the first half (i was a little distracted second half), their slide tackling was efficient as fuck. There weren't any dives from either side because, really, the Koreans' tackling was so good the Brazilians never had any reason to go down.
Oh! I thought it was Tae Se! I had just walked back into the store since my break was over, so I didn't see the replay clearly through the cheering. Who got that shit??

Actually, the #8 scored. The one who plays in Japan is the #9.
Then again, Kim Jong Il will probably personally buy him a club to captain.

brazil bailed best korea out for a half by playing a 4-2-3-1 with wingers that cut in and clogged the middle, making best korea's defense look better than it should have
and the first goal was a total howler
and best korea's final goal was great skill offensively
well done best korea
brazil needs to fix some things before they can be considered the favorites for this tournament again imo

eh... I'm not really convinced brazil gave everything, or even 3/4 of everything in this game.
Not that north korea didn't play a nice game, and as it has been said, everyone loves the underdog, and their goal was fantastic.
But I'm pretty sure brazil can step it up more than a few notches if they have to
I mean, whatever you think of the shot, the fact remains that the constant pressure on the NK defense created opportunities like that and make it much more likely you'll get a shot, even if it's arguably a "cheap" one

Oh, I wasn't calling it cheap. It was definitely a manufactured opportunity.
That particular shot, though, probably should have been stopped, regardless of his intent.
Dru, everyone knows that howlers are the angry, anthropomorphic letters the players get sent by owl after making a mistake!
I was thinking about vuvuzelas having something to do with howlers and then I started thinking about howler monkeys and then I was imagining the world cup with fans wielding howler monkeys during matches instead of vuvuzelas

WORK THOSE TINY LEGS
Man, I was hoping so much for them to get at least a goal in, even if it was only for morale. Good for them, they worked hard for this.
What a game!

top class defending first half
great goal to finish
Brazil's performance in the second half meant that was a deserved win but fuck me, North Korea made them fight for it
Kim Jong Il will have so many white women kidnapped for the purpose of bathing him.
it will certainly stop the other two teams in the group from counting north korea as an automatic win

Outside of the foot or not, it was oddly struck, and the keeper was way out of position.
