(Note: if this should be in H/A please move. I thought the tighter audience focus made this the better place.)
The group details: essentially 4 adults (16, 19 and 2 x 40)
So, we've decided that we would focus on boardgames over this summer. To our old mainstays (Catan, Ticket to Ride & Carcassonne) we recently added (Puerto Rico, Dominion and C: Hunters & Gatherers). All were hits, with PR quickly becoming everyone's favorite.
I feel we need one more to break things up - a good co-op game where we are all working together. I'm hoping for some recommendations. I've done a bit of research, here's some opening comments:
ARKHAM - We tried this already. Needed a big time investment. Too complex in the set up and 'bit' factor. We also were clearing doing something wrong as we kept winning easily.
DESCENT - Seems neat enough, but someone has to be the bad guy. Also looks like it has the space/time investment issues that Arkham had.
SPACE ALERT - This has some lure - the CD and time component seems neat. I looked at it online and felt a little underwhelmed by the visual of it. I'd love some opinions or experiences
PANDEMIC - The leader in the clubhouse at the moment, but more because it has such widespread respect than anything I'm seeing.
I'm hoping there's some gems I'm missing. Thanks - and I'm sorry is this general thread topic is too common.
