iphone is locked up - [need help]

Not sure what happened, but when I pulled my iphone out of my pocket tonight, the screen is pure white and the system is completely locked up. Can't hit any buttons to bring it out of the screen. I tried calling myself from the house phone and it goes straight to voicemail.

Anyone have any idea how to reboot it or what I need to do to reset it?
