If you can still plug Wavebirds into the Wii, there's no reason not to use those. They're amazing.

    I have to ask.

People seem hyped for Street Fighter 4 for the DS. I find myself very confused. Just think to how many times youve thrown the controller down in rage at computer cheapness. Do you really want to make the DS (or even the iphone if thats out already) the target of your wrath? Those controllers were made to accept at least some of your punishment.

I keep hearing people talk about throwing their controllers and such. I always thought it was a joke - I honestly never believed people would actually, seriously, throw a 40+ € controller around. I mean, can someone really get angry enough at something so simple as a videogame to want to throw away their hard-earned money like that? I mean, I sometimes get a bit peeved when the CPU is cheating blatantly, but getting THAT angry?

I've bitten a hotel bed because of Wario De Mambo.

I'm pretty sure there was a reason that soon after the Wii was released in 2006 that they did the whole wrist strap campaing. if i wasn't so lazy i'd link some broken tv info from flying wii remotes :)

You've never lost a game in NBA Street after leading being up 20-10 and losing 21-20 then, have you?

Only time I ever chucked a controller (I think I was 15). Snapped the back plastic in half. Hulk Smash.

So things have been going pretty smoothly with the 3DS site I'm contributing news for. I've made roughly over $100 from the posts I've sent so far. If I could get a couple more sites like that under my belt, it could make for some good spending money on the side.

The competition is getting fierce, though. On at least four occasions, news drafts I was working on were already submitted by other writers. I know that there should potentially be plenty of 3DS news to post once the system gets closer to release, but right now it's tough finding new stories from other sites.

I've mainly been getting my 3DS news from CVG and Kotaku, but if there are other sites that are quick in getting related info, I'd love to hear abotu them.

In the NES/SNES days this was common. The controllers were pretty much poured.

Once you get into the PSX/N64 era where controllers contain analogs and motors and spy cameras the practice died out save with morons

No, because I never played NBA Street. I have, however, had CPUs suddenly manage to become prescient when at 10% life and proceed to block everything I do (including blocking while I'm on their back, which is supposed to be impossible) then retaliate and annihilate my life completely. Repeteadly. It's infuriating bullshit, but never to the point of actually throwing valuable pieces of machinery around. Mostly I just pause, let off steam for a short while, and continue.

My wife doesn't throw controllers at solid objects and risk expensive damage. She lashes out at the nearest soft thing to cushion the blow. This is usually me :(

Of course I'm usually asking for it by sitting next to her offering such gems of advice as 'You didn't want to do that,' 'You're pressing the wrong button' or 'Try it again, but this time do better.' :P
