Who gives a damn about their country, I'm rooting for the team, and if you live in NK, any chance of getting out (for example, by playing well against Brazil) can only be a good thing.

Because in soccer, politics takes a backseat to what you do on the pitch. For the whole first half Brazil was lazy, lackadaisical, boring passes in midfield, they didn't give a shit, while North Korea actually played soccer the hard-nosed, respectful way you want to see it played (albeit very defensively).
