What's a good mouse for everyday desktop work?

Need a replacement for a work mouse, something a little more comfy for a smaller sized hand. The one in use now is a useless generimouse that is pretty terrible, work wont get a new one so I'll just get one myself and use it. What's a good mouse to get that doesn't cost $60? Wireless is not a necessity as it will be plugged in at a desk and never moved anywhere. Not some monstrosity of a gaming mouse either for huge man hands. It will be used by a tiny female, but not a micro notebook mouse either at is will be for every day all day office work.
