See, I found Scions to be fairly easy. Just sidestep the Shockwave and you win. It's when there's two of them that things get sketchy.

In contrast, I found Husks to be trivial. Area Reave + Grunt = dead Husks.

Grunt doing a Krogan Charge through the horde is amazing.

I've told my tale of Grunt doing his psycho charge before, saving my life, on the you know what where you get the you know what that eventually lets you go you know where and do you know what

The only thing better than Grunt charging things to death is a dominated Krogan charging things to death.

Now if only Dominate wasn't awful.

Anderson's got to be on your squad in ME3, come on. The next book has him back in action messing with Cerberus, make the starting squadmates Paul Grayson and Anderson!

Husks + dual scions == pain.

Husks in confined areas with no line of retreat == pain.

Flamethrowers with 3+ dudes providing cover fire == pain.

YMIR mechs + waves of baddies == pain.

    That's pretty much my list.

Not really. Gillian was only 9 or so in the book. And the book was taking place around the same time period as ME2. Probably just a year or so before.

Jack is bisexual, she just finds femshep unattractive.

Which isn't really unfair considering the majority of custom femsheps (not to mention the default one)

what is it with people and never giving their female shepards fucking chins

Why are you charging at someone holding a shotgun? It doesn't really make sense to engage a CQC enemy by standing in front of it, does it?

Just use your SMG/Overload to pick off its shields, and then use Pull to disable it, then kill it with Warp or guns, or whatever.

You just have to focus on them first. Snares like Singularity and Combat Drone work somewhat well, though I think they kill them fast. As long as you have the Hunters distracted you should be fine.

You find plural scions with husks easy on insanity with the vanguard? Shit, show me dem skillz.

On the flip side, I hardly ever have problems with Geth Primes; I just start stripping their defenses down early on and at long range; by the time they're close enough to be a danger I can charge and cap them twice to finish them off.

scions are impossible for me to die to

their close-up attack only drains my shield, which i can instantly recharge

husks just involve square dancing and the occasional reave/incinerate thrown out, their pathing makes them easy to avoid

but i really have problems with geth primes, especially when they spawn in your face like during
    legion and tali's loyalty missions

For Legion's one you're only taking on one at a time with like 2 guys to cover. Pop both the dudes at range using your allies' powers, pepper with SMG fire, close and destroy with 2 or 3 shotgun-punch-shotguns to the face and done. Tali's is even easier since you can kite the guy and just pop out and hammer him when he stops to reload, and you can pick off his escorts in detail.

I dealt with that prime by launching a cain nuke in that small room, had my two allies distract everything long enough so I could vaporize everything in the room.
    Shows I'm playing on normal.

I find that my teammates are dying frequently and quickly in Insanity, so I'm left to clear out entire rooms by myself. Mordin and Kasumi were alive approximately 1/4 of the time on Grunt's recruitment.

While this is indeed time consuming, it does make me feel even more badass than usual. I guess it's not all bad.

Also, Geth Shield Charge (or whatever it's called) it pretty excellent.

Confirming that it's fully possible to have a full renegade bar in ME1 even if you choose all the paragony "big" choices-- I did that just now. Having gotten my renegade points in early, I said screw it and I think I was over 75% over the way to full paragon bar by the time the game ended.

Not really, but they're comparable--they can hit you from pretty far, but they're not actually using sniper rifles. Seems to be that anyone who gets a sniper rifle is on Shepard's side in ME2.

No complaints here, unless you were running a well-invested Barrier, sniper rifles were basically "load last save if one tags you"

No, I'm not complaining either. In fact, I expect that's why Bioware removed them.

Could make for an interesting "boss" battle in ME3. If done well. Just don't cram them into every crevice in a narrow hallway.

I think I'm 2 missions away from beating the game (I'm on a loyalty mission now, and then I think the final one will open up). Now I know why you all hate husks so much. Thank God for maxed out Concussive Blast. This last mission has cemented that I will always (assuming I get the others on this run) be 1 achievement short of 100% because there's no way that I will replay this on anything higher than normal.

    What class are you playing?

I think you will be surprised at how much better you've gotten after a full play through. I started on normal, had a tough time, went on to Veteran, had an easier time, and now I'm doing alright on Hardcore.

The shutters in Garrus's mission on Insanity were, surprisingly, a breeze. I went out of my usual order and brought Grunt with, and he worked wonderfully as a meat shield.
