Well, whenever I try and start Fallout 3 GOTY (Steam edition, mind you) on my pc, I get about as far as the title menu. Then, out of nowhere the game crashes. No "XXXX.dll missing" message, mind you, it just crashes. Stops working.
Before anyone says this crap, I'm going to get a few things out of the way.
I have reinstalled multiple times
I can easily run Oblivion with the highest graphics settings (A few people have suggested if i am unable to run oblivion @ full, I couldn't run this, IDK)
I do not have peanut butter anywhere inside my computer
The computer is definitely on
So, are there any DLL that I need for this to run? Because Steam might be screwing this up for me, I'm not sure.
And no, I'm not just going to buy a goddamn Xbox 360 version, I already paid for the game on Steam.
Really?
NOBODY can help me?
I asked this on Facepunch, and I got banned for being a troll.
Fallout3Nexus couldn't tell me.
Hell, I even went to the GaiaOnline forums The GAIA FORUMS
I had to take a bath in acid afterwards, and I got nothing from anyone.
I had a problem like this when the game defaulted to some crazy resolution that didn't fit my monitor. Instead of displaying all squished like most things do, the game just gave me the middle finger without any kind of message and quit right away.
Since it had previously defaulted to the correct resolution on an earlier install, this took me forever to figure out and drove me crazy.
Yeah, except for the fact that i'm guessing that this is a problem with my computer, so i doubt they'd be able to help me...
I mean, come on.
This is supposed to be the "Games and Technology" board.
This might just fall under one of those categories, unless i'm hallucinating more than I'm supposed to be.
