    That's actually pretty awesome.

    10 hours and counting, that is insane. A shame that whichever one wins is probably going to be physically wrecked and steamrolled in the next round.

    That's assuming this match ends before the winner's next match is scheduled to take place.

    Ah, the Wimbledon officials are the very picture of mercy.

    If one of them manages to win tomorrow, he will not have to play his 3rd round match right away - it will be delayed until Friday.

    Not at this exact minute, but they'll be playing again tomorrow, making it the third day that the match has been played. I would not be surprised if one of them ends up with an injury, especially if they still can't break the deadlock within an hour of play resuming.

    I always get these mixed up, but in tennis a single match is composed of several sets, each of which is composed of multiple games, right? A game being one round of love-15-30-40-win points.

    Yes. And you didn't ask, but since it was really confusing to me, to win a set, you have to win six games before the other guy wins five. If he wins five, you have to get to seven first. But if it's the last set of an important match (like at Wimbledon), you have to win by 2, which is how this set got to 59-59 so far.

    A clock face was used to keep score in medieval France, with each point increasing the score by 15 minutes. 15, 30, and 45 with the game being won when a player reached 60 minutes. However, to decrease lucky wins the deuce rule was created. To keep the score on a clock face, the 45 was changed to 40, and if both players have 40, the first player to score receives ten minutes and that moves the clock to 50. If the player scores a second time before the opponent is able to score, they are awarded another ten minutes and the clock moves to 60 and winning the game. Iif a player fails to score twice in a row, then the clock would move back to 40 to creating another deuce.

    Yeah Tennis literally goes game->set->match.

    And yeah, the any set but the fifth (third for women) will go to a Tiebreaker at 6-6. Tiebreaker is first to 7 I think, and you don't have to win by 2.

    It's pretty easy to remember once you're used to it.

    Personally I had more trouble remembering the hows and whens of changing positions when playing doubles.

    I'd always learned that the scoring was also based on degrees - where it was 15, 30, 45 and 60 as the games, and then since it was 6 games to a set, it would bring you to 360 degrees. I'd heard the clock thing as well, but felt the 360 degree thing was cooler.

    Play's due to resume "not before 1530 BST". Given that the first of the two matches being played on that court has just finished, it'll likely be at that time.
