About a week ago (shortly before her period) my fiance developed what looks like a small pimple on/below her clitoris. We know that it is neither genital warts or herpes because it doesn't hurt/itch/show other symptoms and we each have only had sex with each other and I don't have either of those diseases. My google-fu has told me that it is likely a cyst and should go away on its own as long as it does not become infected, but in the week and a half since she has finished her monthly, it has not gone away.
We have resolved that if it starts to become painful or grow larger we would take her to a doctor. My questions would be this:
Is there anything we could do to make it go away faster?
If it does come to a point where she would need to see a doctor, what kind of doctor should she go see? Since she is uninsured (hurray college student) how much would a doctor's visit cost?
Thank you for any help!

Does your college not have a health center? This seems like a good thing to talk to a nurse about.
A lot of sores can be symptomless and still be an STD or infection. Go to your college clinic or the county clinic. Ask them upfront about cost (they do not mind this). Go very soon!

Get it checked out, but know that it IS possible to get pimples there. You can get pimples anywhere you have skin, apparently.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

It's not a sore though. That's what is so weird about it. It doesn't even hurt after rubbing it and whatnotWe will check out the clinic to be sure but it literally looks like a white head pimple. It also isn't open, or leaking anything to that effect. Luckily the clinic has summer hours and we are local so we can check things out tomorrow.
it may be in ingrown hair or a pimple, but since there is no pain chances are it is a cyst.
have her take warm baths and soak for a while, she can take a book or watch a movie on a laptop if she has one.
if warm baths isn't desirable, you can also put a warm wet towel on the area and let it sit for a while. if it is a sebaceous cyst you want to loosen the inner material so that the body will reabsorb it.

Why are you so sure ?, some illnesses are dormant in our bodies for years. Your girlfriend should see a Gynecologist or a Dermatologist, if they are not sure what it is, a biopsy is the next step.

and, as others said, see a doctor.
Also, a hot teabag (wow could that be taken wrong) will work.
I just thought I would let anyone know who is interested that it was indeed a cyst. Apparently it is pretty common for girls to get them if the area in question is constantly moist (apparently I need to tone it down a notch) . The Doctor recommended taking hot baths to help the body reabsorb it and prescribed an antibiotic to prevent possible infections.
Thank you to everyone for offering their advice!

cotton underwear, sitz baths, and you can get herpes in your bathing suit area if you have cold sores on your mouth and you masturbate without sanitizing your hands, just so you know. public health PSA! so it could be that, but the fact that it looks like a whitehead pimple and there is no pain suggests it isn't. Stop shaving, if she does, for the time being. And go to the doctor.

It is, indeed, very common for women to get cysts there. Congrats it's no big thing anymore.

not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
Have her go to the doctor, I got one a couple of years ago, doc said not to worry. about a year later it got much larger and I had to take an anti biotic to bring it down in size and he cut it out with local. he sliced a long v of skin out and pulled it out with forceps/tweezers.
Lab test came back that it was not a subasuous cyst as per initial diagnosis but instead a tumor ( not malign). Don't be gambling with bumps in your crotch man get GF to a doctor. Hard yellow balls under the skin are ugly.

Good that she's alright though.

Especially areas that get sweaty a lot. Thought I'd let you know.
