XBox 360 issue: can't find save data?

This just came up with both my profile and my roomate's file.
He was playing and tried to load up his Top Spin 2 character data, and when the HD was selected to load from, it said no load data found. I start up my profile and it says the same thing.
So, I go into the HD and look in the memory to see if the data is still there. And it is for both of our characters.
We start up Top Spin 2 again and it still can't load our character data.
Just to be sure we checked to see if other data will load from other games (GoW, Enchanted Arms) and they all load up fine.
Has this happened with anyone else with other games and can it be fixed?
