Get a box of baking soda, a lot come now with special "fridge" flaps that have cloth behind them. Baking soda soaks up the odours and keeps your milk tasting fresh.

Alternatively, ditch the blue cheese habit.

Have you tried putting actual food in the fridge?
I had a problem with a fridge in an old place I used to live. Had two boxes of baking soda in there, and had it cleaned out with many different chemicals (not ammonia though), and no matter what I did, it stunk. I just thought that somehow the previous tenants had stuck rotten food in places that food wasn't meant to go, and bought food anyway. After actually filling the fridge, the smell went away, and none of the food ever tasted bad or anything.

Activated charcoal is way more effective than baking soda, it's awesome stuff!
Also, check and clean the drip tray or whatever it uses to handle excess water. Will usually be underneath or in the back. Unplug it first.
