I need to make a few art assets for a project I'm working on. When I say simple, I mean simple. For the time being, actually, I'm just trying to make some boxes with some very specific dimensions and border-widths (measured to the pixel). I've been trying to manually draw these things in MS Paint (the Windows 7 version), which is a nice tool, but it's starting to drive me insane.
So basically, I want a tool that lets me add a new rectangle to an image and specify the dimensions (width: 1440 px, height: 900 px, thickness: 4 px). That kind of thing. I know Ulead Photoimpact (which is not a free program, but one I own) let me do this. The problem is, I can't find my discs. Plus it's kind of old now.
