    The company that published Werner Herzog's book gave me a free copy of it. I also got most of the DLCs for RE5 from Capcom because I'm technically a member of the press.

    That was nice.

    I won a free not-for resale Forza 2 and that new(ish?) Halo game together at work on Sunday. Gave it to a friend though 'cause I don't own a 360. There were other prizes to choose from but honestly even a game I can't play is better than a snuggie or a retail-store themed Jenga.

    i saw metric for free
    i got the first season of flight of the conchords for free
    saw dark knight in imax a few days before it came out for free
    i won a nickelodeon backpack for free
    i saw the phantom menace a few weeks before it came out for free


    i think that's it though
    the first three of those are all from the same radio station

    edit: oh and remember way back when, when coke used to have bottlecaps that gave instant prizes, like a free coke?
    one time i won one, got another coke, opened it, and won another free coke

    Back in about 99/00 there was this website that was all about playing minigame pixel hunts to win cash or prizes.

    Somehow i ended up winning 2 Tyler Durden costumes from Fight Club, i was disappointed when they arrived and were clean.

    once i hit $400 on a scratch ticket (yeah i play those things i know they suck)
    also won a skateboard at pax east
    and i got an awesome pair of shoes of this girl 2 days before i dumped her... it would have been awkward to turn them down...but yeah i wore them for like 2 years
